Pilot Thesis: A Case for New Architectures of Political Engagement
The pilot thesis outlines the social, political and economic context surrounding my research project to date. Understanding the focus of previous devolution and decentralisation agendas by previous governments in the UK, it proposes a focus on spatial-planning over a space-neutral economic focus. Conclusively, this paper outlines a series of questions upon which the architectures of Parliament and it's associated administrations can begin to be reimagined and relocated within the Northern regions as interventions in which a spatial discourse for solving regional disparities can begin to take place.
